AST SpaceMobile Lawsuit Continues with November 13 Deadline to Appoint Lead Plaintiff

US law firm Pomerantz announced the filing of a class action lawsuit against AST SpaceMobile, a direct-to-cell satellite communications company, and several of its executives, in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas, in a development to a case whose details were previously published by "60 Arabia" on September 26.

The lawsuit, filed under case number 26-cv-00378, alleges that the company overstated its competitive capacity in the direct-to-satellite communications market, as well as the adequacy of its capital and liquidity, citing slow user adoption in the United States and Japan.

The affected class covers the period from March 4, 2025, to July 15, 2026, during which plaintiffs say investors purchased company shares based on statements they consider misleading regarding its operational and financial condition.

The lawsuit set a deadline of November 13, 2026, to submit applications for appointment as lead plaintiff, a standard procedure in US class action lawsuits that allows affected parties to apply to represent the rest of the group members. The company has not yet issued a public comment on the substance of the lawsuit.

What Do These Terms Mean?

Material Disclosure: Important information that a public company is obligated to announce to the public, where hiding or misrepresenting it carries legal liability.
