The main index of the Saudi market, 'TASI,' closed up 110.17 points, or about 1.05%, at 10,589.95 points, in a session where trading value reached 4.1 billion riyals executed across 189 million shares, according to Saudi newspaper 'Al-Watan'.
The number of advancing companies in the session outnumbered declining ones, as 189 companies rose against a drop in 71 companies, reflecting broad gains across the market. Shares of 'Aramco' and 'Al Rajhi' topped the list of most active stocks by trading value, rising around 1% for the former and 0.6% for the latter.
On the parallel index 'Nomu,' the index added 332.04 points to close at 21,736.43 points, in a performance reflecting demand for small and medium-sized enterprise stocks listed on the parallel market.
'TASI' is the main index tracking the performance of the largest listed companies in Saudi Arabia, and its sessions are monitored as a benchmark for capital movement in the region's largest financial market.
