UAE markets continued their decline, as the Dubai Financial Market index closed down 0.49% at 5,901.32 points in its fourth consecutive session of drop, and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange index (FADGI) declined 0.25% to 9,973.01 points, mainly under pressure from banking stocks. This decline comes after the markets moved within a narrow range in recent days amid the absence of strong catalysts to restore traders' confidence.

Emirates NBD stock fell 1.9% to AED 30.8, DEWA stock dropped 1.5% to AED 2.62, and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank stock fell 1.3% to AED 16.44. Banking stocks are among the largest components of indices in both markets; therefore, their decline exerts direct pressure on overall performance even when other stocks rise.

On the other hand, Emaar Properties was one of the few gainers in the Dubai session, rising 0.7% to AED 11.4, which eased part of the pressure on the index at a time when most other banking and real estate stocks declined, and the limited gains were not enough to change the session's general trend.

This decline comes amid a state of caution prevailing over regional markets, as traders await oil price developments and global interest rate decisions that affect funding costs and foreign investment flows into UAE markets, making the performance of upcoming sessions linked to the clarity of these factors.
