TypeSafe Raises $870 Million at $7.5 Billion Valuation Led by a16z

Andreessen Horowitz led an approximately $870 million funding round in AI company TypeSafe at a $7.5 billion valuation, according to Dealroom citing Bloomberg Law. The round is considered one of the largest funding rounds in the AI infrastructure sector this year.

The company is developing a model named "Jev", which it says surpassed one million users shortly after its launch, and that nearly one-third of Fortune 500 companies use it, without disclosing the names of any of them. The company's business model is based on enterprise use alongside individual use.

TypeSafe emerged from stealth mode on September 15, 2026, with a $40 million seed round led by DCVC, followed by a much larger round within weeks. This indicates an accelerating pace of funding in AI companies that sell their services to enterprises.

TypeSafe has not disclosed the identity of any of its major corporate clients, making enterprise usage figures self-reported information published by the company. The round comes just a few weeks after the company emerged from stealth, representing a relatively early stage in its life cycle.
