Nous Research labs, specializing in open-source artificial intelligence, raised $90 million in a Series B round led by Robot Ventures, bringing the company's valuation to $1.5 billion, according to Crypto Briefing.
Prominent investors participated in the round, including Nvidia, Microsoft's M12, Samsung, Union Square Ventures, Y Combinator, and Menlo Ventures, a mix combining chip makers, cloud computing firms, and venture capital funds in a single round.
The funds will be allocated to launching an enterprise-targeted version of its agent "Hermes" called "Hermes for Business," which adds single sign-on, auditing tools, and workspace controls, alongside a planned mobile app.
The "Hermes" agent was released in February 2026 under the open MIT license, and the company states that its downloads have exceeded 24 million, a metric it relies on to promote its new commercial version targeting enterprises.
