Blackstone Prepares to List 'Hotel Investment Partners' in Madrid at €6 Billion Valuation
Blackstone is reportedly preparing to list Hotel Investment Partners on the Madrid Stock Exchange at a valuation of around €6 billion, with a portfolio covering 61 hotels.

Blackstone is reportedly preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) of Hotel Investment Partners on the Madrid Stock Exchange at a valuation of nearly €6 billion, according to a report by Pambianconews, a hospitality-focused platform. The report noted that the IPO has not yet been officially confirmed, making it a subject of close observation in European financial markets.
The company's portfolio encompasses 61 hotels with approximately 20,000 rooms spread across Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Greece, tourism markets experiencing high demand for hotel accommodations. This scale means that the listing, if realized, will be one of the largest hotel asset listings in Europe this year.
Blackstone holds a 65% stake in the company, while Singapore's sovereign wealth fund, GIC, owns the remaining 35%. The listing prospectus was scheduled to be submitted to the Spanish market regulator in early October, with the listing expected between late this month and early November, alongside raising approximately €700 million in capital.
This trend points to a gradual return of listings in the European hotel sector, a move that allows investors to value hotel assets in an open market rather than holding them in private portfolios. The success of the offering is seen as an indicator of investor appetite for hospitality assets, especially given that the IPO report itself has not been officially confirmed yet.
