The 'EGX 30' index closed down 0.06% at 53,265.16 points, making it the only declining index in Wednesday's session, while the 'EGX 70' index for small and medium-sized enterprises rose 0.27% to 19,695.01 points, and the broader 'EGX 100' index climbed 0.22% to 26,010 points.

Trading value reached EGP 7.632 billion executed through 198,937 transactions on 1.640 billion shares, an activity level reflecting continued participation despite the main index's stability.

Egyptians were net buyers worth EGP 281.547 million, compared to net sales by foreigners totaling EGP 214.441 million. This divergence indicates that local demand protected the index from a larger drop, while foreign investors reduced their positions.

On the stock level, 'Delta Insurance' topped the gainers list with a 20% rise to EGP 12.42, while 'GMC Group' stock fell 4.09% to EGP 1.64. The performance of the Egyptian Stock Exchange matters to a broad segment of individual savers and investors inside and outside Egypt.
