Gwynne Shotwell Reportedly Plans to Sell 342,000 SpaceX Shares Estimated at $52 Million
Reports revealed a plan by SpaceX executive Gwynne Shotwell to sell 342,170 shares valued at an estimated $52 million, as part of a pre-planned structured sale program amid a wave of employee share releases from lock-up restrictions.

Informed sources reportedly announced that Gwynne Shotwell, executive at SpaceX, intends to sell up to 342,170 of her shares in the company, equivalent to about $52 million at current market prices.
This transaction reportedly comes as part of a pre-planned, structured sale program known as a "10b5-1 plan," which allows executives to dispose of their shares at predetermined times free from allegations of insider trading, adding transparency and regularity to the process.
The move coincided with SpaceX releasing approximately 328 million shares from lock-up restrictions on September 24, which analysts reportedly view as an increase in the supply of shares in the private market that contributes to resetting the valuation level around $350 billion.
Shotwell is considered one of the most prominent executives who have led SpaceX's growth since its early stages, and the sale indicates a natural tendency toward personal investment portfolio diversification rather than structural concerns, while institutional demand for the company's shares continues to exceed available supply in the secondary market, according to reports.
