Saudi Arabia Opens Ownership Registration for 11,749 Land Plots Across 3 Regions

The Real Estate General Authority in Saudi Arabia will begin on Sunday, October 11, the in-kind registration of ownership for 11,749 land plots distributed across three regions, in a step that allows owners to officially document their ownership within the real estate registry.

The plots are distributed as follows: 3,138 plots in the Madinah region, 5,767 plots in the Al-Qassim region, and 2,844 plots in the Tabuk region. Registration will remain open until January 14, 2027, according to data published on the electronic Real Estate Registry platform rer.sa.

The data clarified that registration is conducted via the electronic platform, requiring the applicant to hold a title deed matching approved specifications. Meanwhile, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported the same announcement, granting the move official status.

In-kind registration allows property owners to list their real estate in a unified official registry, providing them with a certified deed that facilitates future sales, purchases, and mortgages, while reducing potential disputes over property boundaries and ownership.
