China Launches 27th Batch of Orbital Internet Satellites Aboard Long March 12
China launched the 27th batch of low-Earth orbit internet satellites aboard a Long March 12 rocket from the Wenchang center, stating that the satellites successfully reached their planned orbit.

China launched the 27th batch of low-Earth orbit internet satellites aboard a "Long March 12" rocket from the commercial spaceport in Wenchang, Hainan Province, at 3:27 AM Beijing time on October 10.
Xinhua News Agency reported that the satellites reached their planned orbit and that the mission was a complete success. Other Chinese state media, including "China Daily", "CGTN", and "ecns.cn", reported the same news.
This batch comes as part of an ongoing effort to build a constellation of low-Earth orbit satellites providing broadband internet services. Recent launches are being carried out from the Wenchang commercial spaceport, which was designed to relieve pressure on traditional launch sites and increase launch frequency.
This development is relevant to investors, telecommunications companies, and satellite operators alike, as the number of satellites in orbit and their speed of deployment dictate when commercial service begins and its geographical coverage area. The industry is monitoring the pace of Chinese launches as an indicator of accelerating competition in the satellite internet market.
What do these terms mean?

Spaceport: A dedicated site for launching space rockets, featuring launchpads, assembly facilities, and fueling systems.
Batch: A group of satellites built and launched in successive stages as part of a single program.
