NASA Awards $1.4 Billion Logistics Support Agreements to 16 Companies
NASA awards 16 companies blanket purchase agreements worth $1.4 billion to provide logistics services, including equipment, flight, and transportation support, over five years starting in October.

The US space agency NASA has selected 16 companies to provide blanket purchase agreements worth $1.4 billion, covering logistics support services that include flight hardware support, equipment maintenance, transportation, and material procurement.
Among the winning companies are Leidos, KBR Wyle Services, Tetra Tech, TRAX International, ASRC Federal, and Akima. These agreements represent a framework under which purchase orders are issued over several years instead of executing a new contract for every operation.
The five-year base ordering period begins October 1, 2026, and continues through September 30, 2031, with potential additional extension periods, giving the winning companies a predictable stream of orders enabling them to plan their investments and workforce.
These agreements reflect the volume of ongoing logistics activity required by expanding space operations, as each mission requires the transport and maintenance of delicate equipment and the movement of parts between different sites. NASA considers relying on a large number of specialized companies a method to secure a flexible supply chain for its long-term programs, while diversifying suppliers to reduce the risk of reliance on a single party.
