The Euro Stoxx 50 index reached an all-time high above 6,560 points on August 11, supported by resilient earnings, defense and industrial spending, as well as a shift in global capital flows away from US concentration, with non-US funds capturing 34% of ETF flows compared to holding just 20% of assets.
The index ended Friday's session up 0.20% at 6,547 points, while the German DAX fell 0.15%, the French CAC slipped 0.28%, and the British FTSE declined 0.56% in a mixed session impacted by a US retail sales shock and rising valuations following the record rally.
