Invest Qatar, Aurion Capital, and LG NOVA Sign Memorandum of Understanding for Innovation

Invest Qatar, Aurion Capital, and LG NOVA signed a memorandum of understanding to explore joint innovation programs and support business expansion, according to an announcement on the sidelines of a special edition of the Qatar Economic Forum held alongside the 2026 session of the United Nations General Assembly. LG NOVA is the Silicon Valley-based innovation center of LG Electronics.

The MoU targets the artificial intelligence, digital health, fintech, and digital infrastructure sectors, with plans to establish a center at Qatar Science & Technology Park to serve as a regional platform for technologies linked to LG NOVA. Through the agreement, the parties aim to explore joint programs and support scaling companies, without announcing any financial value for the cooperation.

The signing comes at a time when Gulf states are competing to attract global technology companies and innovation centers, as their sovereign wealth funds tie tech firms to contracts that build local activities, transfer knowledge, and create jobs. The presence of a center within Qatar Science & Technology Park means that cooperation could move from a preliminary framework into actual activity if the memorandum is translated into specific operational programs.
