Saudi Arabia's 'Autobia' Raises $12 Million to Expand Spare Parts Business

Saudi B2B auto spare parts platform 'Autobia' raised $12 million in a Series A funding round led by Artal Capital, with participation from AlJazira Capital and Wa'ed Ventures.

Founded in 2021 by Imad Daghriri and Ahmed Al-Aufi, the platform connects spare parts retailers with suppliers, ships orders directly, and provides installment payment options.

The company stated that the new capital will fund regional expansion within Saudi Arabia, the development of logistics services, dynamic pricing technologies, and the expansion of payment options.

The platform operates in the auto spare parts market, which is experiencing growing demand in the Kingdom, as part of broader efforts to digitize B2B commerce and accelerate supply chains.

What Do These Terms Mean?

Series A: The first major funding round for a startup after the seed stage, typically used for expansion after proving the business model.

Business-to-Business (B2B): Selling products or services from one company to another, rather than directly to the end consumer.

Dynamic Pricing: Automatically adjusting product prices based on demand, supply, and market factors instead of keeping them fixed.
