Rocket Lab Reports Record Quarterly Revenue of $234 Million and Backlog of $2.36 Billion

Commercial space company Rocket Lab reported record quarterly revenue of $234 million during the latest quarter, an impressive 62% increase compared to the same period last year, as its backlog and signed contracts expanded to $2.36 billion.

This revenue was distributed between launch services using the light Electron rocket, the satellite manufacturing sector, and space component manufacturing, in an integrated business model that makes Rocket Lab more diversified and less dependent on the launch cycle alone compared to its competitors.

These figures are viewed in the context of intense competition with SpaceX, which dominates the commercial launch sector; however, Rocket Lab has succeeded in differentiating itself by focusing on small payloads and integrated services that are difficult for the giant Falcon 9 rocket to deliver efficiently.

The company directs a large portion of its revenue toward developing the new Neutron rocket, capable of carrying medium payloads, positioning it to compete in the lucrative medium-launch sector by 2026-2027. The 62% growth rate is considered one of the highest growth rates recorded among space companies listed on U.S. stock exchanges during 2026.
