Egyptian stock market indices closed Sunday's trading session on a collective rise, as the main index, EGX 30, climbed 1.61% to close at 53,911.1 points, extending its gains in a session that saw simultaneous gains across all market indices.

The mid-cap index EGX 70 rose 3.04% to 19,952.98 points, while EGX 100 gained 2.77% to reach 26,366.99 points. EGX 100 includes the hundred largest listed companies, while EGX 70 focuses on less liquid small and mid-cap stocks. The performance of the Egyptian market is measured through these three indices, which cover different segments of companies.

Stocks in the cement and real estate sectors led the gainers list, while trading value reached 9.714 billion EGP, and market capitalization reached 4.263 trillion EGP. The broadening of gains indicates the participation of multiple sectors in the rise rather than just a single sector.

Foreign investors recorded net sales worth 222.5 million EGP during the session, a trend that diverges from the upward price trajectory in the same session. The increase reflects an improvement in risk appetite within the Egyptian market, which investors are monitoring amid exchange rate movements and interest rates.
