Saudi Arabia Issues 9,018 Investment Licenses in Q2, Up 252% Year-on-Year

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia issued 9,018 investment licenses during the second quarter of 2026, a reported 252% increase compared to the same period last year, reflecting a noticeable acceleration in attracting investments.

These figures come as a result of a series of business environment reforms, including streamlining licensing procedures, reducing bureaucratic requirements, and providing incentives for foreign investors within the framework of Vision 2030.

The manufacturing and technology sectors led the list of beneficiaries of these licenses, followed by commerce and services, while investments in entertainment, tourism, and infrastructure recorded rapid growth alongside major projects such as NEOM and others.

Analysts believe this sharp rise points to a genuine transformation in the Kingdom's standing as an attractive regional and global investment destination. However, converting these licenses into actual investments and productive projects remains the decisive benchmark for measuring their impact on the national economy.
