German software company SAP announced it will acquire Ghent-based Belgian AI skills management firm TechWolf as part of its SuccessFactors portfolio, its human resource management software arm, according to a company statement cited by Zonebourse.

TechWolf's platform relies on what the company describes as a contextual work graph, which documents tasks, employee skills, and labor market data, helping organizations identify skill gaps in their teams and align them with business needs.

The financial value of the deal was not disclosed, and it is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals, according to the company statement, a standard step in major acquisition deals.

TechWolf will continue to operate as an independent entity led by its CEO and co-founder Andreas De Neve. Its revenue reached 8.68 million euros for the year ending January 2026, meaning its current team and management will remain in place.

What do these terms mean?

Acquisition: A deal in which a company purchases a controlling stake in another company, making it part of itself.

Regulatory approvals: Permissions granted by competition and regulatory authorities before completing merger and acquisition deals.

Software portfolio: The suite of products offered by a single company in a specific field.
