Amazon Expands Partnership with Nvidia by Ordering Millions of Additional GPUs

Amazon Web Services has significantly expanded its partnership with Nvidia, as reports revealed a new order for two million additional GPUs of the Blackwell Ultra and new Rubin models.

Reports indicate that delivery is expected between 2027 and 2028, with Amazon allocating a large portion of this capacity to serve artificial intelligence models on the AWS platform.

Nvidia holds a pivotal position in the AI chip market, capturing over 80 percent of the market share in this sector, while major cloud giants compete to reserve its capacity years in advance.

This expansion comes amid escalating competition among Amazon, Microsoft, and Google to secure the maximum infrastructure to serve the growing demand for AI services.
