Egyptian Pound Stabilizes Near 50.25 Per Dollar

The exchange rate of the Egyptian pound is stabilizing near the level of 50.25 pounds against the US dollar, within the framework of the managed flexibility policy followed by the Central Bank of Egypt since the March 2024 reform.

These levels reflect relative stability in the Egyptian foreign exchange market, after previous periods witnessed sharp fluctuations in the value of the pound as a result of dollar pressures and a scarcity of foreign remittances.

The Central Bank of Egypt continues to manage the exchange rate with the aim of maintaining the competitiveness of Egyptian exports and attracting remittances from Egyptians abroad, while preserving foreign exchange reserves.

Analysts believe that the stabilization of the pound contributes to restoring foreign investors' confidence in the Egyptian market and reduces investment risks associated with currency fluctuations.
