Starting October 12, Google Ads began automatically applying offers and discounts extracted from advertisers' landing pages to Search and Performance Max campaigns.
According to the published explanation, the tool scans website pages, extracts promotional offers, and adds them as promotion assets to campaigns that have linked location assets and do not contain existing promotion assets.
Each extracted promotion remains valid for less than 24 hours before requiring re-verification to ensure it is still active on the advertiser's page.
Advertisers are automatically enrolled in the feature, but they can turn off "Automated Promotions" at the account level if they choose not to use it.
What Do These Terms Mean?
Performance Max: A Google campaign type that relies on artificial intelligence to determine ad placements and budget allocation without precise manual tuning.
Promotion Assets: Elements added to a campaign, such as a discount code or promotional offer, to display alongside the ad.
Location Assets: Data connecting a campaign to an advertiser's physical location or specific geographic areas.
