The Minister of Justice in Qatar has issued decisions tightening the admission requirements to the roll of practicing lawyers and the licensing of non-Qatari lawyers, according to Lexis Middle East.
Applicants are required to take an exam every three months and score at least 50% to pass, with the result being valid for one year.
Under the new decisions, a single retake attempt is allowed before having to wait six months.
The package also includes regulating the websites and digital activities of law firms, expanding the scope of obligations to cover law firms' online presence.
What Do These Terms Mean?
