The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities in Egypt, through the New Urban Communities Authority, continues to offer diverse investment opportunities in new cities via its digital platform, valued in Egyptian pounds.

Housing Minister Randa Al-Minshawi stated that expanding investment opportunities in new cities aligns with the state's vision for sustainable urban development, enhances the private sector's role as a primary partner in project execution, and serves the goals of Egypt Vision 2030.

Deputy Minister for New Urban Communities Waleed Abbas explained that around 84 investment opportunities were offered through the investors' service portal in Egyptian pounds during October 2026, targeting Egyptian companies, with areas starting from 500 square meters for small and medium projects and exceeding 50,000 square meters for major and mixed-use projects.

The opportunities cover more than 15 sectors including commercial, administrative, medical, educational, sports, entertainment, hospitality, tourism, service, logistics, and mixed-use projects, distributed across cities including Sheikh Zayed, El Shorouk, Sadat City, New Alamein, 15th of May, New Aswan, El Obour, Badr, New Minya, 6th of October, and New Borg El Arab.

What do these terms mean?

New Urban Communities Authority: The Egyptian government entity responsible for planning and developing new cities and managing their land.

Investment Opportunity: A plot of land or a project offered for investment according to specific terms and conditions set by the owner entity.

Mixed-use: A project that combines more than one activity in a single location, such as residential, commercial, and administrative uses.

Egypt Vision 2030: A national development plan aimed at developing the economy, infrastructure, and quality of life by 2030.
