The Houthis announced carrying out four missile and drone operations within 48 hours targeting the Ministry of Defense in Riyadh, King Fahd Airport in Dammam, Abha Airport, and an Aramco facility in Yanbu, according to an LRT report citing the group's statement.
The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation said the attack on Dammam airport resulted in the death of two people and the injury of eight others, while debris from an intercepted drone killed two foreign workers, according to the agency.
The Saudi Ministry of Energy confirmed that production was not affected by the attacks.
These developments come at a time when energy markets are closely monitoring any threat to facilities and export routes in the region, as a significant portion of global crude prices is determined by risks surrounding supplies and transport routes.
