Wizz Air Cancels All Abu Dhabi and Dubai Flights for Winter 2026/2027
Wizz Air has canceled all its flights to Abu Dhabi and Dubai for winter 2026/2027, abandoning plans to restore 12 routes and 49 weekly flights comprising 470,000 seats.

Hungarian airline Wizz Air has canceled all its flights to Abu Dhabi and Dubai for the winter 2026/2027 season, stepping back from a plan that aimed to restore 12 routes and 49 weekly flights comprising nearly 470,000 seats from nine European cities.
The impact extended to the Jordanian capital, Amman, after a bulletin issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency recommended avoiding Jordanian airspace in the coming period.
The company attributed its decision to prolonged restrictions on regional airspace, stating that operating its Airbus A321neo and A321XLR aircraft has become commercially unviable under these conditions.
The decision reduces options for travelers between Europe and the UAE during the winter season, at a time when Abu Dhabi and Dubai serve as major hubs for air connectivity between East and West. It also indicates that the impact of security tensions on airspace is no longer limited to direct flights, but has extended to airline plans for the upcoming season.
