Iran announces 7 ships hit near Hormuz; UKMTO does not confirm
The Revolutionary Guards announced that seven ships were hit in separate incidents in the northern Gulf and west of Hormuz, while the UKMTO reported two separate incidents and did not independently verify the account.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy announced that seven ships were hit in the northern Gulf, west of the Strait of Hormuz, stating that four ships caught fire during ship-to-ship transfers and three other ships were struck by mines, according to the "Safety4Sea" platform.
The Iranian statement did not specify the names of the ships or casualty numbers, and the account lacked independent confirmation from another party.
In contrast, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported two separate incidents: the first involving the Kuwait-flagged vessel "Al-Dasmah" being hit by an unknown projectile off Bukha in Oman, and the second involving the Liberia-flagged vessel "Soya" being struck by an unknown projectile about 30 nautical miles southeast of Al-Faw in Iraq.
The agency stated that it reported two separate incidents and that the Iranian account of seven ships being hit had not been independently verified, leaving the actual extent of damage in the vital maritime passage a matter of question for shipping and insurance companies.
