Nvidia expands Nemotron with an open 120-billion-parameter model
Nvidia added the open 120-billion-parameter Nemotron 3.5 Super VL model and a Bolt version for edge devices, stating it matches its largest models at a fifth of the size.

Nvidia has expanded its Nemotron model family by adding "Nemotron 3.5 Super VL," an open 120-billion-parameter multimodal model, according to SiliconANGLE.
The model is designed for continuous agentic tasks, remaining running in the background to execute sequential steps without constant intervention.
The company said that Super VL matches its largest reasoning models at one-fifth the size and runs about five times faster. It also introduced the "Nemotron 3.5 Bolt" version aimed at edge devices and local systems.
Nvidia is releasing the model weights for enterprises to perform post-training and run it on-premises without relying on the cloud.
What do these terms mean?
Multimodal Model: A model that handles more than one type of data, such as text, image, and audio together.
Edge Devices: Running AI directly on the device itself or on hardware near the data source instead of a remote data center.
Post-training: Training a pre-existing model on custom data to fine-tune it for a specific task or domain.
