SpaceX Reports First Quarterly Profit Post-IPO of $4.4 Billion
SpaceX reported a net profit of $4.4 billion in the third quarter compared to a $1.1 billion loss a year earlier, with revenue growing 161% to $14.6 billion.

Elon Musk's SpaceX announced its first quarterly profit since going public, posting a net profit of $4.4 billion for the July-September period—more than double analyst expectations—compared to a loss of $1.1 billion a year earlier. Revenue for the company, which listed following a record global public offering in June, rose 161% to reach $14.6 billion.
SpaceX shares jumped more than 10% in morning trading in New York, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 1%, Frankfurt gained 1.4%, and London rose 0.2%. The announcement came after Wall Street closed on Tuesday, providing a particular boost to tech stocks.
Patrick O'Hare, market analyst at Briefing.com, said the strong results and accompanying guidance came as reassuring news to investors in companies like CoreWeave and Nebius, which borrowed heavily to build AI data centers. Super Micro Computer also buoyed sentiment after saying its preliminary results exceeded expectations.
Investors' attention now turns to Tesla and Meta results after Wall Street closes, with Tim Waterer, analyst at KCM Trade, saying similar strong results and guidance could restore some momentum to the AI sector and give it greater sustainability. In commodity markets, Brent crude rose 0.3% to $109.16 a barrel.
