Egypt Raises Offered Stake in Banque du Caire to 45% of Capital

The Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority approved raising the offered stake of Banque du Caire's shares in the initial public offering from 30% to 45% of the issued capital.

According to the Authority's letter dated October 22, 2026, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Finance Corporation may subscribe to up to 15.74% each of the first tranche of the private placement.

The retail tranche attracted demand for approximately 453.6 million shares, representing 1.98 times the number of shares allocated to retail investors.

Increasing the stake represents an expansion of the offering size prior to completing its procedures, with potential participation from two international financial institutions in the private tranche.
