Energy experts believe that nuclear power will be an indispensable element in the global energy mix by 2035, warning that countries that delay building nuclear capacity will pay a heavy price in the race to compete for reliable, low-carbon clean energy.
What do these terms mean?
Small Modular Reactors (SMRs): Nuclear reactors that are smaller in size and easier to build than traditional reactors. They can be assembled in a factory and transported to the operational site, reducing construction costs and building time.
Clean Nuclear Energy: Electricity produced from nuclear reactions without significant carbon emissions during operation, making it a competitor to solar and wind energy in the climate context.
Data Centers: Massive facilities housing thousands of servers that power artificial intelligence applications and cloud computing, consuming huge amounts of electricity around the clock.
