Port Unions Call for Second Day of Action on October 30 in Italy
Italian and international port unions have called for a second day of action on October 30 across eight Italian ports, as part of an alliance comprising unions from France, Greece, Turkey, Morocco, and India.

The Italian union "Unione Sindacale di Base" (USB), joined by "OR.S.A. Porti" and "USB Mare e Porti", called for a second day of action for port workers internationally on October 30.
This follows a first protest held on February 6, as reported by Shipping Italy.
A press conference in Rome on October 15 presented the "Ports In Action" alliance, which includes unions from France (CGT Ports and Docks), Greece (ENEDEP), the Basque Country (LAB), Turkey (Liman-Is), Morocco (ODT), and India (FSUI).
Eight Italian ports are included among those halting operations, with unions confirming they account for "more than 40% of containerized traffic in the Mediterranean."
