Reuters Poll Lowers 2026 Gold Forecast to $4,495
A Reuters poll lowered the median 2026 gold forecast to $4,495 from $4,509 three months ago, pressured by the dollar and yields, while raising the 2027 forecast to $4,650.

A Reuters survey of 30 analysts and traders lowered the median 2026 gold forecast to $4,495 per ounce, down from $4,509 in the previous poll three months ago, marking the second consecutive quarterly downgrade.
The survey raised its 2027 forecast to $4,650 from $4,610. Participants attributed pressure on the yellow metal to rising U.S. Treasury yields, a strong dollar, and higher-for-longer interest rates, in addition to the Iranian war which pushed oil and yields higher.
Suki Cooper from Standard Chartered expected gold to undergo a consolidation phase before recovering, while Rhona O'Connell from StoneX pointed to continued Indian and Chinese demand alongside central bank risk management as supporting factors.
The poll expected the silver price in 2027 to reach around $66.75 per ounce.
