Qatari Court Orders Payment of 42,700 Riyals in Unpaid Wages

The Court of First Instance at the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) ordered ACDAC12 LLC to pay 42,700 Qatari Riyals in unpaid wages to employee Mohammad Mathias Fahda, in case CTFIC0066/2026, according to the judgment published on the Centre's website on October 27, 2026.

The court set the start of the employment relationship as June 15, 2026, rejecting the date claimed by the employer stating employment began in July, and also dismissed the counterclaim filed by the company.

The court also awarded annual interest at a rate of 5% on the amount, rising to 7% in the event of late payment, in addition to 5,598 Qatari Riyals in litigation costs.

The ruling comes as part of the court's consideration of a dispute over due wages, concluding by obligating the company to pay the aforementioned amount after rejecting its defense regarding the employment start date.
