Infisical Raises $40 Million to Secure AI Agents
Infisical raised $40 million in a Series B funding round led by Elad Gil at a $600 million valuation, expanding tools for secrets management and AI agents.

Infisical has raised $40 million in a Series B funding round at a $600 million valuation, led by investor Elad Gil, who doubled down on his investment following the first round, according to the company's blog. Y Combinator and Gradient Ventures participated by tripling their investments, alongside Gallery Ventures, Pace Capital, Dynamic Capital, and other investors.
The company stated that it did not need to raise the round, as it has been cash-flow positive for a long time and holds more money in the bank than it has raised in its history. More than 1,300 organizations rely on it to secure their infrastructure, including LG, First American Financial, OpenRouter, Wise, and the US government, while its open-source project has surpassed 30,000 stars on GitHub.
The company attributed the decision to raise funding to shifts brought about by AI, most notably that coding agents have increased the volume of generated code by more than 10x, meaning more infrastructure, identities, secrets, and digital certificates that require protection. It added that attackers now have a broader attack surface, and AI agents are accessing sensitive systems and executing actions that previously required human approval, often without adequate oversight.
The company will continue to invest in secrets management, certificates, and privileged access, while increasing its focus on Agent Vault, which allows AI agents to access sensitive systems without exposing underlying credentials. It plans to hire over 100 people across engineering, sales, marketing, product, design, and other teams, according to founder and CEO Vlad Matsiiako.
