Saudi Aramco shares hold at SAR 25.22 despite Houthi missile hit in Dhahran
Hits an administrative building at Saudi Aramco in Dhahran with a missile. Leaves oil production unaffected while crude prices remain elevated at $115 per barrel.

A Houthi missile struck an administrative building at Saudi Aramco's Dhahran complex on October 13, according to Argaam. The attack caused no confirmed impact on oil production, though it raised renewed security concerns for Saudi energy infrastructure.
Shares of Saudi Aramco traded around SAR 25.22, reflecting a 6% year-to-date gain from SAR 23.83, Argaam reported. However, regional conflict risks and fears over infrastructure vulnerability prevented higher crude prices from boosting the wider Tadawul All Share Index.
Brent crude traded between $115 and $117 per barrel, well above Saudi Arabia's estimated fiscal breakeven level of $70 to $80 per barrel, according to Trading Economics. Despite strong oil revenue, Saudi gross domestic product contracted in 2026 for the first time since 2023.
Industrial output in the kingdom fell sharply in August, while annual inflation reached 1.90% in September, Trading Economics data showed. The Saudi Central Bank recently raised its repo rate to 4.50% from 4.25% to manage monetary conditions.
Petro Rabigh led Saudi market gainers over the first nine months of 2026 with a 151% surge, according to Argaam. In contrast, Al Arabia fell 60% and Saudi Research and Media Group dropped 57% over the same period.
What do these terms mean?
fiscal breakeven: The crude oil price required by an exporting nation to balance its government budget. Prices above this threshold generate a fiscal surplus.
gross domestic product: The total monetary value of all final goods and services produced within a country during a specific period. It measures the overall size and health of an economy.
repo rate: The interest rate at which a central bank lends short-term funds to commercial banks. It acts as a primary tool to control liquidity and inflation.
