4 US newspapers sue Brave for selling their content to AI companies
The New York Times sued Brave in Manhattan, and hours later three other newspapers filed a similar suit accusing the browser of selling their content to AI.

The New York Times filed a lawsuit against Brave Software in a federal court in Manhattan, accusing it of scraping journalistic content and selling it to AI companies, according to The Next Web.

The lawsuits state that Anthropic, Perplexity, Mistral, xAI and Cohere are among the clients that buy access to Brave's index.
