Hypersonica raised €100m in a Series B co-led by Lightspeed and General Catalyst to accelerate the development of European long-range hypersonic missiles.

British-German defence company Hypersonica raised €100 million in a Series B funding round co-led by Lightspeed and General Catalyst to speed up the development and testing of long-range hypersonic missiles, according to tech.eu.
Existing investors Plural and 201 Ventures also participated. The round follows a €23.2 million Series A in February 2026 led by Plural with General Catalyst and 201 Ventures, bringing total disclosed funding to at least €123.2 million.
The company is headquartered in Munich with a subsidiary in London and was founded in 2023. It plans to use the funding to accelerate work on deep-strike missiles, increase testing and expand across Europe, while creating hundreds of engineering and manufacturing jobs in the UK and Germany.
The round comes under the UK-Germany Trinity House Agreement to develop long-range conventional weapons. The Financial Times reported a valuation of about €700 million, citing unnamed sources, while the company did not disclose an official valuation. Hypersonica aims to develop hypersonic deep-strike systems by 2029.
