Qatar closes Pillar Two registration for large groups on 2 November
The deadline for Pillar Two groups to register for fiscal year 2025 via the Dhareeba platform ends on 2 November 2026, with a penalty of up to 20,000 riyals.

The deadline for registration of multinational company groups covered by Pillar Two for fiscal year 2025 ends on 2 November 2026 through Qatar's Dhareeba platform.
Registration is carried out through a designated local entity, even in cases where no top-up tax is expected, according to the guidance.
The scope covers groups whose consolidated revenue reached at least 750 million euros in at least two of the four preceding fiscal years, provided they have a Qatari entity, joint venture or permanent establishment, including in free zones and technology hubs.
Failure to register may result in a fine of 20,000 Qatari riyals in addition to other penalties.
What do these terms mean?
Pillar Two: International tax rules imposing a minimum level of tax on the profits of large companies operating in more than one country.
Designated local entity: The company a group chooses in Qatar to handle registration procedures and tax obligations on its behalf.
Top-up tax: An additional tax imposed when the effective tax paid falls below the globally agreed minimum.
