D Developments launches in Egypt with EGP 15 billion portfolio
D Developments launched in Egypt through an Egyptian-Saudi partnership with an initial EGP 15 billion portfolio, targeting four projects in Obour City.

D Developments announced the start of its operations in Egypt through an Egyptian-Saudi partnership, with a plan to develop four projects in Obour City and an initial target investment portfolio of EGP 15 billion, about $269 million.
The shareholder structure combines experience in real estate development and engineering consulting with investment capabilities, to support expansion plans and build a diversified project portfolio.
The partnership includes Egyptian investors and Saudi Arabia's Al-Hokail Group, which seeks to expand its regional investments and enter the Egyptian market by combining its experience in Saudi Arabia with that of its local partners. Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Hokail, the Saudi investor and group representative, said the investment decision came after assessing the fundamentals of the Egyptian economy, market size and opportunities in various sectors, and that Obour was chosen for its existing urban structure, services, population base and demand for real estate products.
Ahmed Qassem, CEO of D Developments, said the company will focus on opportunities that match market demand and carry clear growth potential, and that its strategy goes beyond launching individual projects to building a real estate business capable of long-term growth and expansion. The company intends to announce details of the four projects, their components and implementation schedules in phases in the coming period.
