Nest Commerce has launched the Hummingbird ad creative platform in partnership with TikTok, supported by a tech grant from the platform, according to UK Tech News. The platform reads live campaign performance and identifies creative elements that achieve higher audience engagement.

The platform generates static, animated, and user-generated content (UGC) style ad variations, including AI-generated video presented by an avatar, with continuous monitoring for creative fatigue when performance begins to decline. This gives marketing teams the ability to refresh ads quickly instead of waiting for a long production cycle.

Nest Commerce reported that more than 50 brands recorded a 31 percent year-on-year drop in CPM on TikTok, alongside a 38 percent increase in spend and a 10 percent drop in CPA, according to figures cited in the report.

These figures point to a shift in how social content is produced, as platforms themselves become partners in ad generation rather than merely displaying them. Advertisers in the region are anticipating the impact of these tools on production costs and testing speed, alongside growing questions about the limits of relying on AI-generated video to build audience trust.

What do these terms mean?

**CPM (Cost Per Mille):** The amount an advertiser pays for every thousand times their ad is shown. **CPA (Cost Per Acquisition):** The average amount an advertiser spends to acquire a single customer who completes the desired action. **Avatar:** A digital character presented in an AI-generated video instead of a real presenter. **Creative Fatigue:** The decline in ad performance when the audience sees the same version too many times.
