Saudi Arabia Enters 'Transparent' Category in JLL Index, Ranking 35th

Saudi Arabia ranked 35th in the 2026 Global Real Estate Transparency Index released by JLL, entering the 'Transparent' category for the first time.

The index placed the Kingdom among the three most improved countries over the past decade, as reported by Al-Bilad newspaper citing Al Arabiya channel.

JLL attributed the improvement to Vision 2030 reforms, the official real estate index platform, stricter rules for off-plan property handovers, and higher standards for listed real estate companies.

The Mubasher platform and Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported the same findings, noting the Kingdom's new classification in the index.

What Do These Terms Mean?

Real Estate Transparency Index: A periodic report that measures the availability and accuracy of real estate data and the clarity of laws in each country's market, published by JLL.

Off-Plan Sales: The sale of a residential or office unit before its construction is completed, based on announced plans and specifications.

Listed Companies: Companies whose shares are traded on the stock exchange and are subject to regular financial and administrative disclosures.
