Dar Global Launches 3 Saudi Projects and Attracts Investors from 57 Nationalities

Dar Global CEO Ziad El Chaar stated that the company is preparing to launch 3 new projects in Saudi Arabia over the coming months, including two projects in Diriyah and another in Jeddah, in collaboration with new international brands. In an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, he explained that Saudi Arabia now represents about half of the company's portfolio, and that it has successfully attracted buyers from 57 foreign nationalities to one of its projects in Riyadh and Jeddah.

The company's project in Wadi Safar, Diriyah, spans an area of approximately 3 million square meters and features around 500 mansions within a gated residential community overlooking golf courses, green spaces, and valleys. Mansion prices start from approximately 15 million riyals ($4 million) and reach up to 160 million ($42.6 million), making it targeted at a specific segment of buyers.

The expansion plans came alongside business growth, as net profits surged by 149% during the first half of 2026, while revenues increased by 66%. El Chaar attributed this performance to strong sales over past years alongside construction progress, clarifying that sales are not reflected in revenues and profits until projects are executed and delivered.

To mitigate execution risks, El Chaar said Dar Global established a contracting company and acquired a firm specializing in project management, providing it with internal capabilities in management, supervision, and cost control. The company relies on a mix of equity, local and international bank financing, off-plan sales, and partnerships with landowners and developers for funding, while its equity approaches $500 million and recorded a return on equity of around 25% in 2025.

What do these terms mean?

Equity: The funds owned by shareholders in a company after deducting liabilities, used as an indicator of its financial strength.

Return on Equity: The ratio of profit generated by a company compared to its shareholders' equity, measuring the efficiency of using shareholders' funds.
