Egyptian stock market indices closed higher on Wednesday, as the EGX30 rose about 0.44% to 51,492.83 points and the EGX70 jumped 2.31%, with Egyptians recording net purchases.

Egyptian stock market indices closed Wednesday's session higher, with the main index EGX30 gaining around 0.44% to reach 51,492.83 points, and the small and medium-sized enterprises index EGX70 jumping by 2.31% to 18,330.75 points, according to Business Today Egypt.
The broader EGX100 index rose by 1.73% to 24,413.26 points, broadening gains across market segments rather than just in the main index.
The market capitalization of shares reached approximately 4.025 trillion pounds on a trading turnover of 7.3 billion pounds, while Egyptians were net buyers by about 325.9 million pounds, and foreigners were net sellers by about 316.98 million pounds.
This applies to small and large investors in the Egyptian market, as the buying participation of Egyptians indicates an improvement in local risk appetite, while foreign selling reflects caution toward emerging markets that may change with the trajectory of interest rates and exchange rates.
