Saudi Arabia's 'Istitlaa' platform has opened 47 projects from 26 government entities for public comment, most notably a draft regulation for developing land allocated to housing support programs.

Saudi Arabia's 'Istitlaa' platform has opened 47 economic and developmental projects from 26 government entities for public comment, according to Okaz newspaper.
The most prominent of these projects is a draft regulation for developing master-planned land allocated for housing support programs, allowing investors to receive up to 20% of the net developed area.
The draft stipulates providing a final bank guarantee of 5% of the estimated project cost, with the consultation period running from October 11 to November 10, 2026.
This means citizens and investors have an opportunity to comment on rules that could alter how housing lands are developed, affecting both developers and buyers alike.
What Do These Terms Mean?
Istitlaa Platform: A government electronic platform in Saudi Arabia where draft laws and regulations are published to gather public feedback before approval.
Bank Guarantee: An undertaking from a bank to pay a financial sum to a specific party if the other party fails to fulfill its obligations.
Housing Support: Government programs that assist citizens in owning homes through financing, land, or direct financial support.
