Oracle to Invest $1 Billion in Its Partner Ecosystem Over 4 Years

Oracle announced its intention to invest $1 billion over the next four years to support its partner ecosystem and accelerate their growth, in a move aimed at helping customers modernize their systems using artificial intelligence.

According to the announcement, the investment covers education, professional certifications, technical assistance, and sandbox development environments. These tools allow partners to build and test their solutions before deploying them to customers, in addition to training their teams on Oracle products.

The plan also includes funding for cloud migration as well as joint sales and marketing efforts with partners, with sales taking place through Oracle Marketplace. The marketplace allows partners to showcase their solutions to Oracle customers instead of relying on separate sales channels.

Partners are expected to benefit from cloud migration funding to support customer projects, while technical support and sandboxes cover the solution building and testing phase. Oracle links this investment to the goal of accelerating partner growth and driving AI-led customer modernization.

What do these terms mean?

Partner Ecosystem: A network of companies that sell another company's products or integrate them into their services, receiving support and training in exchange for a commission or commercial collaboration.

Sandbox Development Environment: An isolated test version of a system that allows developers to experiment with solutions without impacting real customer data.

Cloud Migration: Moving a company's systems and data from its own servers to leased data centers over the internet.
