Dubai and Abu Dhabi Markets Buck Regional Decline, Closing Higher
The Dubai and Abu Dhabi stock markets closed higher on Wednesday, bucking the regional downward trend, as the Dubai Financial Market General Index gained 0.57% to 5,892.57 points, with UAE inflation remaining at 2.04%.

The Dubai and Abu Dhabi stock exchanges closed Wednesday's session higher, bucking a wave of decline across regional markets, as the Dubai Financial Market General Index rose 0.57% to 5,892.57 points, according to "Business Upturn".
The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange General Index recorded a new gain after its previous close at 9,793.64 points, increasing by 0.32%, continuing its rise amid a positive trend for both stock exchanges.
This performance comes as UAE inflation stabilized at 2.04% and the interest rate at 3.90%, a combination that supports the attractiveness of local markets compared to some neighboring markets more affected by security tensions.
This means that investors in UAE markets were not affected by the regional sell-off to the same extent, giving local shareholders a degree of stability and raising the appeal of Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the eyes of investors seeking a less volatile market than the rest of the region.
