Salience Labs Raises $125 Million for Optical Switches for AI Servers
British company Salience Labs closed a $125 million Series B round led by Bullhound to manufacture optical switches connecting thousands of GPUs in data centers.

The round saw participation from AMD Ventures, Intel Capital, SBI Group, Hudson River Trading, and the British Business Bank, along with existing investors.
The company, a spinout from Oxford University, develops optical switches that keep data moving as light instead of converting it into electrical signals, aiming to connect thousands of GPUs inside a single rack.
The company allocated the funding to expand manufacturing, develop a new generation of switches, and open a second office in the United States.
