Czech CSG Enters Space Sector with 9.5% Stake in MDA Space
Czech CSG revealed a 9.5% stake in MDA Space through a subsidiary, entering the space sector based on projections that it will reach $1.8 trillion by 2035.

Czech company CSG revealed a 9.5% stake in the capital of Canadian MDA Space, a specialist in satellite and space systems manufacturing, through a subsidiary dedicated to this purpose, according to GlobeNewswire via the MarketScreener platform.
CSG attributed its move to expectations that the global space economy will reach $1.8 trillion by 2035, making the sector a long-term investment opportunity. It also indicated the possibility of injecting future joint investments into European manufacturing facilities.
The company did not disclose the value of the transaction, which is a minority stake that does not grant control over MDA Space, but gives CSG a foothold in the space sector through a company with expertise in satellites, space robotics, and radar systems.
The acquisition comes at a time when mergers and partnerships are accelerating in the space industry, with activity shifting from purely government contracts to commercial services, attracting industrial investors seeking to diversify their portfolios away from traditional sectors.
