Egypt Considers Real Estate Investment Fund to Maximize Return on 'Urban Communities' Assets
Housing Minister Randa Al-Minshawi chaired a meeting to study establishing a real estate investment fund to maximize returns from the New Urban Communities Authority's assets and attract local and foreign capital.

Housing Minister Randa Al-Minshawi chaired a meeting to study establishing a real estate investment fund, aiming to maximize the economic return on the assets of the New Urban Communities Authority, as reported by 'Cairo 24'.
The fund aims to attract local and foreign capital, add new sources of liquidity, and build a diversified real estate portfolio that includes residential, commercial, and service assets.
The minister emphasized that the file is still in the study phase and that the ministry is exploring various available investment models to maximize returns from the authority's assets.
This direction comes as part of Egypt's effort to operate its real estate assets and turn them into cash yields instead of merely owning them, which may interest investors in both the stock market and the real estate market if implemented.
