New York and London-based pubX has closed a $5 million Series A funding round led by Chicago Ventures.
Simultaneously, the company acquired Compliant, a media quality specialist whose data integrity and connected TV ad quality benchmarks will feed buy-side clients with governance signals before spending budget.
The Compliant brand will remain as a subsidiary, with its CEO Jamie Barnard taking on the role of Head of Global Demand Growth at pubX. The acquisition value was not disclosed.
Proceeds from the round will be directed toward expanding the company's US presence and developing its digital agents, amid growing competition for ad transparency tools.
